By using Animal Based Coach, you agree to these terms. Please read the medical disclaimer in particular — it is the part that matters most.

1. What this app is

Animal Based Coach is a nutrition and lifestyle coaching app. It builds you a personalised animal-based meal plan, tracks your check-ins, and helps you run experiments on your own routine to find what works for your body.

2. ⚠️ It is not medical advice

This is the important one.

Animal Based Coach is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice.

The coach is an AI. It can be wrong, and it can be confidently wrong.
Calorie and macro targets are estimates based on standard equations, which are ±10–15% for any individual.
If you enter blood test results, any interpretation offered is educational, not a diagnosis. Take your actual results to an actual doctor.
Talk to a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet, and always if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are under 18, have a medical condition (including heart, kidney, liver, thyroid or metabolic conditions), take prescription medication, or have a history of disordered eating.
Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something this app told you.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.

3. Your responsibility

You are responsible for what you eat and how you train. You use this app at your own risk. You agree that you are able to make your own decisions about your diet, and that you will stop and seek advice if something feels wrong.

4. Subscription and billing

Animal Based Coach is offered with a 14-day free trial, followed by a paid subscription.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy; we cannot issue them directly.

5. Your account and data

You sign in with Sign in with Apple. There is no password.

Your data is stored on your device and backed up to your account, so it follows you to a new phone. The backup is protected so that no other user can read it, and we do not read it except as needed to run the service. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

You can delete your account and all your data at any time from inside the app: Profile → Delete my account and all data. That deletes the copy on our server and the copy on your phone. It is immediate and permanent. Your subscription record, which Apple and our billing provider keep for accounting, sits outside this, and deleting your account does not cancel your subscription — see section 4 to cancel.

6. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the app or its backend. Don't use it to harm yourself or anyone else.

7. No guarantees

We make no promise about any specific result. Bodies differ, adherence differs, and nutrition is genuinely uncertain in places. The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where the law does not permit that limitation.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use it after a change means you accept the new terms.
